Our team is looking for a Senior/Lead QA Automation Engineer for one of our clients.

The project: The team is a high-impact engineering and analytics group focused on building scalable tools that help organizations identify growth levers, optimize strategy, and maximize shareholder value. Our mission is to turn complex data into actionable insights through cutting-edge technology and close collaboration with business experts.

Responsibilities and tasks:

Support ongoing quality assurance across data‑intensive web applications and microservice‑based platforms;
work with multiple UI and API testing frameworks;
maintain existing automated test suites across mature technology stacks;
contribute to forward‑looking automation initiatives on modern stacks;
collaborate closely with engineering teams to validate complex data flows, user interfaces, and service interactions across multiple environments.

Our expectations of the candidate:

6+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering;
minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise or SaaS environments;
proven experience in leading QA initiatives (tech leadership, code reviews, defining best practices);
strong hands-on experience with test automation and deep understanding of testing methodologies, defect management, and quality metrics;
experience aligning testing strategy with business goals and working within data-driven systems;
strong expertise in automation stack: Java with Selenium and TypeScript with Playwright;
solid understanding of API Testing: Python/Pytest (comprehensive API coverage);
experience contributing to or designing test automation frameworks;
experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) and integrating automated tests into delivery processes;
experience working with Docker for local or containerized test execution;
experience managing and testing across multiple environments (e.g. Alpha, Beta, Production);
familiarity with test reporting and analysis tools (e.g. Allure).

English: Upper-Intermediate

Nice to have:

Understanding of performance and reliability testing concepts is a plus;
experience with AI-assisted testing tools is a plus;
experience validating complex data or financial calculations is a plus.

Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional Agile teams;
ability to take ownership and drive quality initiatives independently;
team leadership mindset and behaviour, with the ability to guide, mentor, and influence others without formal authority;
Ability to prioritize, make decisions, and operate effectively in different environments.
