Our team is looking for a Middle/Middle+ DevOps Engineer for one of our clients.
The client is a worldwide video streaming service that provides a single subscription to hundreds of TV channels and a large library of movies, series, and cartoons.
About the project: We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join a large-scale digital media streaming platform. The project involves supporting the ongoing transition from Docker-based infrastructure to Kubernetes, as well as maintaining and improving the existing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
The new DevOps engineer will collaborate closely with an already established DevOps specialist and assist across multiple service streams. The work includes helping to streamline deployment processes, ensuring stability and scalability of the platform, and contributing to the overall reliability of the system.
Our expectations of the candidate:
4+ years of experience as DevOps Engineer or SRE.
Hands-on experience supporting production systems in on-premise environments.
Strong Linux administration skills (CentOS / Oracle Linux).
Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes (on-prem), Nginx + Lua.
PostgreSQL administration experience.
Knowledge of Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
Monitoring & logging experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
Networking and security knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, firewall, VPN).
Nice to have:
Experience with other databases (MySQL, Oracle DB).
Automation or tooling development in Bash, Python, or Go.
Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery on-prem.
Responsibilities and tasks:
Maintain and operate production on-premise infrastructure.
Administer Linux systems (CentOS, Oracle Linux): networking, systemd, SELinux, firewalld, troubleshooting.
Manage RPM packages and internal YUM/DNF repositories.
Configure and support GitLab CE: pipelines, runners, variables, and Container Registry.
Build, optimize, and secure Docker images; manage Docker Compose environments.
Administer on-prem Kubernetes clusters: deployments, services, ingresses, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Helm charts.
Configure Nginx as reverse proxy and load balancer, including Lua-based routing logic.
Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL; handle backups, restores, basic tuning, and replication.
Automate infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible.
Set up monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK), alerts, and dashboards.
Configure networking and security components: firewall, VPN, NAT, TLS certificates.
Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
Develop automation scripts in Bash, Python, or Go (optional).
