*instinctools is looking for a Middle+/Senior Java Developer for one of our clients.

Our Client is a global leader in mobility solutions, offering a wide range of services that empower people to move seamlessly across cities. It’s driven by a passion for innovation and a commitment to improving urban life.

The project involves joining and working as part of the client’s AdTech teams. The teams are responsible for developing and maintaining systems that automate and improve internet advertising workflows.

Tasks:

Develop and maintain backend services in Java for distributed systems;
implement product features end-to-end;
analyze data to support feature development and system improvements;
build and support data pipelines using Spark and Hive;
work with large datasets, ensure data quality and performance;
collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and backend engineers;
participate in code reviews and contribute to improving system design.

Our expectations of the ideal candidate:

Strong professional experience with Java;
understanding of distributed systems (microservices, scalability, fault tolerance);
hands-on experience with Spark and Hive (or similar data processing tools);
practical SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data;
experience building and maintaining data pipelines;
knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases;
ability to analyze data and translate findings into engineering decisions;
experience working with production systems and CI/CD pipelines.

Problem-Solving: The ability to analyze complex problems, break them down into smaller components, and devise effective solutions;
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for identifying subtle errors and inconsistencies in code;
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas, collaborate with team members, and document processes;
Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, sharing knowledge and fostering a positive work environment.

English: Upper-Intermediate or higher
