Senior Cloud Engineer

The project: Team is looking for a proactive Cloud Engineer to join a global team responsible for delivering self-service application hosting capabilities within a firmwide platform built on AWS. The platform enables internal users and client teams to deploy and manage container-based applications securely and efficiently. The team is expanding into Azure, so multi-cloud experience is a strong plus.

Location: Poland

Working time: EU time zone

Tasks: 

• Build and support infrastructure for containerized applications using technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Collaborate on transitioning infrastructure patterns from AWS to Azure
• Work closely with stakeholders to maintain high availability of hosted applications—downtime could impact clients and firm reputation
• Improve and automate CI/CD workflows (using GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar)
• Identify and automate repetitive tasks and manual processes
• Contribute to writing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
• Apply cloud security best practices, including encryption in transit and at rest
• Support application deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments

What we expect from you

• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience AWS (required); Azure (required), Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• CI/CD pipelines – GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform (primary), CloudFormation (optional)
• Experience with agile delivery practices (e.g., Jira)
• Familiarity with coding/scripting in languages like Go is a plus
• Strong security mindset (data protection, encryption standards)

Soft Skills:

• Self-driven, proactive, and improvement-oriented
• Comfortable working in distributed teams across time zones (Europe–US overlap required)
• Able to take ownership of tickets, contribute to roadmap discussions, and suggest platform improvements
