Our team is looking for a Senior Java Developer for one of our clients.

The client is a digital asset bank founded in 2018 and headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. It is the world’s first digital asset bank with a Swiss banking license, offering a range of services including asset management, tokenization, trading, and custody of digital assets. The client aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the digital asset economy, providing secure, compliant, and regulated solutions for institutional and private clients.

Technology Stack: Java Spring Kafka PostgreSQL Redis AWS Docker. Optional: React NestJS (Typescrypt), Quarkus (Java)

Our expectations of the candidate:

Expertise in Java (17+) and Quarkus (or Spring)
Expertise in working with RDBMS (ideally Postgres)
Working experience with utilizing Kafka and caching frameworks (ideally Redis)
Designing flexible and robust REST APls with an API first approach
Understanding microservices, event driven architecture and ability to implement complex functionality with quality and security
Working knowledge of Docker and containerization
Experience of working with Kubernetes and AWS is beneficial
Experience of working with some MVC frameworks
Understanding Node.js (nest.js) + Typescript will be a big plus

Proactiveness. Not just following what’s in a ticket, but thinking critically about it. Is this the best solution, or could we do better?
Ability to clarify requirements with the customer
Good communication skills
