Our team is looking for a Senior XML Developer for one of our clients.

Our customer: A content services company specializing in technical documentation, structured content, and digital publishing solutions. The company focuses on DITA-based content development, XML workflows, and enterprise content transformation, helping organizations modernize documentation processes and optimize multi-channel publishing. It supports global clients in improving content quality, scalability, and delivery efficiency through structured authoring and advanced publishing technologies.

Our expectations of the candidate:

Strong experience with DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT).
Advanced knowledge of XSLT.
Experience with PDF publishing workflows.
Experience with AEM Guides Native PDF (preferred).
Solid understanding of XML structure and schema.
Experience customizing DITA transformations and PDF outputs.
Troubleshooting and debugging publishing pipelines.
English: Upper-Intermediate or higher

Nice to have:

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
Understanding of automated build and deployment processes.

Soft skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Clear communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to clarify requirements when role scope evolves.
Time management skills (given fluctuating workload).
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
Proactive approach to identifying publishing or transformation issues

Responsibilities and tasks:

Configure and customize DITA-OT publishing pipelines.
Develop and maintain XSLT transformations.
Manage and optimize PDF publishing workflows.
Work with AEM Guides Native PDF (if applicable).
Debug and resolve XML/DITA transformation issues.
Collaborate with content teams and stakeholders to ensure publishing accuracy.
Ensure output quality and formatting consistency.
Support improvements in publishing automation and performance.
Provide technical input once the detailed role scope is defined.
